This may be Peace and Justice Week, but University officials say they are not pleasn-d
with the recent spray-painting of
campus sidewalks with peace
signs.
As a matter of fact, it can cost
an hour of Physical Plant manpower and $l.ri to $1(M> to remove
the signs from one location —
depending on how difficult the
paint is to remove, said Kolx-rt
Wilson. superintendent of
Architectural Trades
One or more individuals left
their mark on at least five campus sidewalks, in the form of
green and red peace signs. Wilson
said
"I haven't physically seen them
but we have had calls on sightings in five locations." he said
Some signs were reported on
the sidewalk near Park Library,
on the east side of Anspach Hall,
and at Washington and Preston
streets
"We like to get them o!Ta> soon
as we hear a!>out them." Wilson
said "When w e get a rniucst or a
call, we send sonu-oiie out the
same day or the next day
(according to how busy their
schedule is >."
Wilson said Physical Plant
