Finns 'needs spade
railroad quest

If the price is right, the city of Mount Pleasant
may purchase a 1.55 mile rail spur from
Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad in an effort to keep
some area businesses using the railway from

The city made an $81,000 offer in July to keep contract with Michigan Northern or a different

Students need cards for game

today at the Office of Stu
dent Life.
The Office of Student Life.
251 Foust Hall, is expecting
the annual surge of students
who forgot to pick up their
verification of enrollment
cards earlier in the semester
as the students collect them
Friday afternoon, just in time
for the football game.
The cards. given to
students officially enrolled at
Central, can be used for free
admittance to University
athletic events.
"All of a sudden, it'll hit
some of these students that
hey. I need my verification
cart) lo get into the football
game.' " said tllerin Starrier,
director of tin- Office of Stu
dent Life.
Starrier estimated sm)

cards Friday .
He said his office has
".M.OOO plus" verification cards
that have yet to be picket) up
by students. The cards may
be obtained there any lime
during the semester
Fifteen people were hired
to pais out the cards in the
I'niversity Center Railroorn
during the first two weeks of
