Gregory Peck, Marisa Pavan
and Jennifer Jones will star in
"The Man in the Grey Flannel
Suit" based on the famous novel
by Sloan Wilson, Wednesday
night at eight o'clock in Warriner Hall Auditorium.
"The Man in the Grey Flannel Suit" is a story presenting
Some of the problems envolved
with white-collar living. Gregory Peck plays a mature, well-
rounded portrait of a present-
day-white-collar-worker on
Madison Avenue trying to get
ahead without compromising
his integrity and principles.

Manistee Theater
Central Michigan University's
summer theater workshop at
Manistee this year has the largest enrollment in its eight-year
history.
Another indication of the
popularity of the course lies in
the fact that more than half the
class this year comes from outside the Manistee area. Previously the majority of registrants
were Manistee area residents.
Central offers the summer
theater class for graduate or
undergraduate credit in either
speech or English, It provides
both theory and laboratory
work under the direction of
members of a professional company, headed by Madge Skelly,
producer-director.
The course gives students an
opportunity to participate in all
the jobs essential to producting
a play. They are also able to try
the professional company.

TV Council El
Pork Secretary
Central Michigan University's
director of special studies,
Charles B, Park, was recently
elected secretary of the Central
Michigan Educational Television Council.
Other officers elected are
Chester Surline, superintendent
of schools at West Branch,
president, and Raymond Hill,
assistant superintendent of
schools at Owosso, vice president. The council's director is
Martin G. Atkins, of CMU.
ETV covers 50 school districts
in central and eastern Michigan,
and has its production at CMU.
Now closing its second year of
production, the council video
tapes in-school TV programs
through WJRT-TV, Flint, and
WNEM-TV, Bay City and Saginaw.
Courses received by schools
are elementary art, junior high
art, elementary science, junior
high science, high school American history and high school
government and economics.
rolled on campus during the
week and those who only attend Saturday classes. It is intended for both full-time and
part time students.
The new regulation also applies to those students on scholarships, fellowships, grants-in-
aid and graduate assistants.
The regulation is necessitated
by the recent State Board of
Education ruling which limits
next fall's enrollment at Central Michigan University t©
5200 on-campus students.
It is hoped that the regulation
will cut down on the number of
duplicate admission requests
that students make to various
institutions, and firm up a
realistic and realiable count on
the number of applicants that
are definitely planning on attending this institution in the
fall.
F@r In-Sehool Us©
Instructional television programs for in-school use may be
available from Central Michigan University in this area in
September. Programs would include classes in elementary
science, elementary art and high
school American history.
These classes have been used
by more than 50 school systems
in Central Michigan during the
last two years to improve the
quality of education within
their schools.
