John Badgley of Lansingville entered the eighth grade Monday.
The teaching of German is this year
somewhat based on the inductive
method. The classe3 begin to read
f ery easy German as soon as possible
and the reading is made the basis for
simple conversations in German.
D. E. Alward has presented the
library with a Copy of the rules and
practice of the national house of representatives.
Many children carry matches in
their pockets. Eecently several of the
teachers have accumulated piles of
matches tanen from tbe pupils. One
of the teachers took some from the
boys' mouths.
The high school and kindergarten
go together when it comes to tardiness.
The fan works well,- successfully
forcing hot air anywhere in the building.
Nine times out of ten the child that
spends three or four hours every day
on the street corners will make a
failure of life. Rumor says that numbers of our boys are laying foundations
for such a failure right now.

In the ninth grade Physiology
class the question, "What is arterial
blood,"was asked and the pupil replied:
"I only kDOW it is hemoglobin preceded by an ox",—oxyhemoglobin.
Mrs. Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Welch
were visitors of the fourth grade.
Jessey Lowery entered the fifth
grade and Roy Hazledien entered the
fourth grade this week-
One of the seventli grade pupils was
asked "What is raised in New Jersey"
and he replied that crockery was one
product of New Jersey.
There are tive ue,w pupils lu the
kindergarten.
Mrs, Welch visited the sixth grade
Wednesday. •.
The life of Patrick Henry has
formed the basis of the opening exercises in the sixth grade.
George Erhart has been promoted
from the sixth to the seventh grade.
The pupils of the sixth grade are
stadylng Elementary History.
