Clare has
got the most reckless batch or ordinances of any'town in Michigan. The authorities may feel like kicking themselves all over a ten-acre lot at,some
time when they may have reason to use
one, because of their dilapidated condition,
A. VanBriuit brought down from tbe
upper peninsula last week, a lynx which
was caught' by Andrew Mack. John
Phinisey bought the animal and engaged

which he. did in a first-class manner.
Mr. Holmes has had five or six years' experience at the work, and bas been very
successful,

lasted less than two rounds, when Bennett wilted and acknowledged that be

W. DRiWiiliams, one of, the merchants
at Loomis, and a genial fellow in general, was in'Clare Tuesday. He made
this offiee a pleasant-call, renewing his

business as rather lively at that place
this winter. A large amount of logs,

and rode up to the depot, and as he enjoyed the ride very much, he thought he
would take a faster ride, so hitched his

out going west. Just as the conductor
gave the signal to •'pull out, a stander-by
saw the peril the young lad was in and
released the sled from the train. Had
the little fellow's plan.been carried out
it would, no doubt, haye been his last

Parties using printed stationery avoid
the risk of not having their communications answered by reason of* not signing
their names. Thousands of letters, many
of them containing orders for goods or
money to pay for goods already ordered,
are sent every year, which are not properly signed and the recipient does not.
know from whom they came. If everybody would use printed stationery the
person receiving tbe letter would know
from what place It came and the sender's
name, and could reply to it as well asl
though tbe sender signed it. You can
buy your envelopes and paper of us, with
your name and address nicely printed on
them, as cheap as you can get an inferior
quality of plain stationery.

new structure will be divided into two
