Martha, aged two years and five
months, youngest daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. S. J. Bobinson, died Tuesday noon
after a long illness. The disease was the
same which afflicts so many of our little
ones in Glare this winter, a kind of relapse alter the whooping cough. Four
deaths have occurred within a fortnight.
The funeral of little Martha* took place
yesterday, Elder Smith officiating.
Dr. E. B. Evans-of Farwell'was in town
Tuesday. The story that is now encouraging the citizens of our sister village is that Olare paid for "the recent survey of the route for the T. & A. railroad,

The Gratiot Journal says that "Judge
Hart declares his ability to do all the
| business brought before him in the various courts of the circuit as now constituted." Th© Judge's declaration doesn't
change the facts nevertheless. The work
of the circuit courts in the district m
'way behind and too onerous for any one
Judge and Stenographer' to attend to
properly.
Jacob Newell was brought down from
Summer-field by Supt. off the Poor
Browne last Saturday and taken to the
county house. Newell is the owner off
160 acres of not very good land which he
cannot sell. Last year his buildings
burned down and'a few days ago he was
turned out of doors by his son. There}
remained but one course for the old man,
who has passed his 74th milestone, and
Tuesday asternoon, returning to Beed
City th© same evening.
A slight improvement is noticed in the
condition off little Genet Chase, but it is
doubtful if she can recover.

office this evening at seven o'clock sharp.
