The material is on the ground anil

A party of Mt. Pleasant dudes and
dudesses were at Stevenson's Jake on

conduct, their bringing up was sadly
neglected, as they seemed to know
nothing about politeness.

Wm. Van Conant of Arthur township is entitled to first premium so
far on potatoes that we have seen

produce potatoes to beat them.

able for the manufacture of A No. 1
brick. A trial kiln will be burnt
this fall.
A citizen of Clare who has quite a
little property, has been on a protracted drunk this week. His case
occasioned the remark from a gentleman in our hearing that he was following ptetty closely in the footsteps
of old Tom Render.
The Pb,ess has been favored with
samples of apples from the orchard
of E. W. Allen of Wise township.
He brought in some of three varieties
the Red Astrakan, the Tetofsky,
and the Euchess—all nice perfect apples, proving that one who knows
how to take care of an orchard can
raise good apples as well in this climate as farther south.
About 250 persons large and small
