Ihe heavy frosts of Saturday and
Sunday nights did serious injury to
potatoes, corn and tomatoes, in the
northern part of the county.
One year ago Mr. W. H. Crandall
moved, bag and baggage, to Missouri. Yesterday he returned, to stay,
and he says there is no place like
Michigan.
J. II. Canfield is fitting up the
lower part of his furniture store for
groceries and dry goods. *
The foundation for the new church
is being laid.
Dr. Witherspoon has stumped his
two lots east of the school house, and
is getting the him ber on the ground
preparatory to building this fall.

Friday night.
I guess the presiding elder of the
