Consistency is a jewel that shines equally in tlie life
of a priiiGe and in the conduct of a peasant. All nature
loves and exemplifies uniformity. Why is it that the snow
crystals always show three points or a multiple of three?
Why is it that robbins' eggs are ever blue? Why do men
see with two eyes, hear with two ears, walk with two legs
and work with two hands'? Why is it that when there is an
exception to these rules of nautre, we speak of the exception
as a deformity or monstrosity?
