JTlie_. Park Commission is unable to

elm and similar trocs tiro suggested. As
it is. almost impossible to transplant
native evergreen trees and make thorn
live, such should not bo planted this
year. Locust, poplar and " balm-of-
Giload trees aro barred, for the present
at least. There will" 00 places provided
for a limited number of bunches ot lilacs,
syringias and similar hardy shrubs.
Every citizen who is interested in tho improvement of our city is urged to plant.
We suggest to thoao who have had no
experience in transplanting trees, that it
is bust to select not too large trees, dig
well about thorn, taking up with tho tree
as much of its native soil a3 possible.
