three years in the late reballion. He has
an exemplary war record.

and southern states, Dr. P. E. Witherspoon has decided that Michigan is the
best state so far seen, and the promising
littlo railroad city, Durand, the best
town in it for his business, and has accordingly decided to locate there imme-
diatelv. He will erect a store, put in a
stock Of drugs, and practice his profession. The doctor is a physican to whom
any community may well tio to, being a
graduate of tha Michigan University
and holds also certificates of matriculation in New York and Chicago polyclinics. He is a thoroughly honorable gentleman »cd is possesed of a most estimable
