CLARE COUNTY'S CHOICE!
Boomlet for Geo. J. Cummins for Constitutional Convention Assuming Proportions.
The Coubieb has several times
intimated that it had but little
patience with the legislation which
created a partisan constitutional
convention, but inasmuch] as such
an act has been passed there is no
other way to select the delegates.
The'friends o'f GeOrge J. Cummins, ajformer prosecuting attorney
of this county and well known
practicing lawyer at the county
seat, are urging his nomination as
one of the three delegates from this
district, and from present indications it is apparent that be. will be
successful.-
Mr.'Cummins' record as a' lawyer
is such as insure the people of an
able representative if selected. In
point of politics therein not a stain
upon his character. He bas cheerfully swallowed everthing bearing a
Bepublican label since attaining
his majority, and that is a qualification necessary to preferment in
this case.
If the constiutional convention
can. be made up of men of ths-ability, integrity and __tan.ding.of George
Cummins, the "people can be assured
that a valued service will be rendered the state. _
