her mother in the millinery business, and probably no young lady
in Clare had closer or more numerous friends. Always with a smile
and pleasant word for all and in
every respect & lady, her admirers
were as numerous al^her acquaintances. She leaves heart broken
parent- and a devoted brother.
The floral tributes, and closing of

Lucky Escape,
By reason of a heavy, load of

the O'Oallaghan building loll this
morning, doing considerable damage.
Fortunately the workmen were
not near that portion of the buiid-
ii g at the time of the accident.
given with such an elaborate
dressing and realistic effects as this.
In fact, several of the features are
in themselves sufficiently novel to
make it worth while going to see
"Uncle Tom's Cabin" for the forty-
seventh time.- The comptiny is
strong. But the . leading feature of
the production is the gorgeous
tr'atisformation-' scene pairited by
Spsman <& Landis, whioh represents
"little Eva in the golden realms."
The tableau is a beautiful and striking one, representing the flight .of
_
the angels ot death and thd opening
of the golden gates. There are also
several other noteworthy stage Bettings, representing a cotton picking
scene, Eliza crossing the ice; etc.
Some very pleasing singing of
plantation melodies is given by a
colored quartette, aud there is some
Wing dancing that is a great novelty,
Tho audience last night was a large
one. The Times, April *14.
