The next s-herift' for Monroe county
has been named. Rather premature
we think.
The Wayne Congregational church
will soon listen to the melodious strains
of a new $1,000 organ.
The work of tiling the Dundee fair
grounds has been commenced. Something like 400 rods of tile will be used.
Monroe county is too poor to afford
a new jail, however much, they need it.
2,162 votes were cast for it and 2,278
against.
The A. A. Agricultural works last
week received an order for a carload of
hay tedders to be shipped to London,
England.
[ The Democrat tells us that brother
1 Beaks, of the Argus, is a candidate for
city treasurer. Mr. B. is evidently
| looking out for a fat office this time.

Many years practice have given C
A. Snow & Co. Solicitors of Patents,
at Washington, D. C, unsurpassed success in obtaining patents for all classes
of invention. They make a specialty
of rejected cases, and have secured allowances of many patents that had
been previously rejected. Their advertisement in another column, will be
of interest to inventors, patentees, manufacturers, and all who have to do with
patents.
A Wonder Worker.
Mr. "Prank Huffman, a young man of
Burlington, Ohio, states that he had been
under the care of two prominent physicians,
and used their treatment until he was not
able to get around. They pronounced his
case to be Consuption and incurable. He
was persuaded to try Dr. King's "New Discovery for Consumption, Coughs and Colds
and at that time he was not able to walk
across the street without resting. He found,
before he had used half of a dollar bottle,
that he was much better; he continued to
use it and is to-day enjoying good health.
If you have any Throat, Lung or Chest

! The colored ministers of Pittsburgh,
| Pa.;' are very indignant over the way
; they are treated in the north. They
| denounce real estate firms for refusing
' to let them houses, and say that great-
' er discrimination exists agaiust the
negro in the northern states than in
the southern.
The Dundee Reporter says that rules
girls posted 25 pennies on a card and
sent it to an eccentric young- man of
that town with the request that he go i
and have his hair cut orget married, j
This seems a rather hard position to
be placed in. He would naturally feel
compelled either to obey the command
or return the money.
The Ovid Union sets forth a rather ,
peculiarly made up family, who^ it is
said, are all nicely situated under one
roof, in the township of Victor, and
consists of the following:
One grandfather, oue grandmother
three mothers, two aunts, three daughters, one daughter-in-law, one widow,
'arriage. Sign and Ornamental Painting, Paper j one uncle, three nephews, two nieces,

The Dovetailed Hive.
The Dovetailed hive has been before the beekeeping world for three years and its great
superiority for the production of Comb Honey
has been fully demonstrated. Its ease of manipulation, together with the fine workmanship and
best quality of material used in its construction,
make it the most popular hive in use. It holds
eight Langstroth Frames, .which is the standard
frame the world over. The Surplus Case holds
twenty-eight one pound sections. The whole
case can be taken from the hive in less than a
•ninute and without killing any bees. Founda-
