Guild Social.
The Ladies Guild of tbe Congregational church will hold a box social
at tbe farm bome of Joseph Hudson
on Wednesday evening, Jan. 28.
Teams will be at Rhoades' store at
8 p. m. Ride 10 cents, box 16 cents.
Everybody invited.
If any wish to meet them, juat say tbe words "we will."
They do not play with "scrub" teams for they'll not waste their time
Just send along your best ones, we'll string them on our line.
Now if a team you have, tbat wil! give us exercise
Just send them oat to Clare and we will put you wise.
Oh! no we are not blowing, just getting rid of surplus steam
Of wbicb we have a plenty, so bring along yonr team;
Fine treatment we will give yon, tbis fact you'll sorely see.
And when tbe game is over, we'll take you bome to tea.
Now if yon wish to see some games that are worthy of defence,
Jnst come around to Davis Hall and pay yonr twenty cents:
Just bring along your lady, I'm sore she'll spare tbe time,
And let tbe cbildren come along, they'll only cost a dime.
Now good people come along and bave your parse string loosed.
And make tbe old hall crowded with tbe folks wbo try to boost.
Hip! Hip! Hurrah! for the teams that play so well,
Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah! don't forget to yell;
Onr town, it should support tbem tbe very beat it ©an,
And every person in onr town, should be a basket fan;
Oar eity is a banner town, although a little small,
Bat its not so very very small whan it comes to Basket Ball.
Georgia Hood.
