The latest fad is oue dealing with
the door key, it. has been customary for
the ladies to hide this necessary bit of
metal behind the shutters, or under
the door mat or the steps, but the
latest fad, at least so the informed say,
is to attach it to a hoolt fastened to the
garter. This is written that young
men may know enough to say good
night when the young ladles seem to
want neither to go in the hou^e or stay
out doors.—Tawas IJeriild.
Tbe credit system has been a thorn
in the side of the retail merchants for
lo these many years and the numerous
faUures and rumors of failures ali over
the country are directly traceable lo
this wide spread evil. There is one
safe way of doing business, and that is
the cash or ready pay plan. Many a
man has been lured on io financial
ruin through his good credit. The
credit system is disastrous to both buyer and seller, and its abolishment
would go far toward the restoration of
good times.—Plymouth Mial.
