Novel Proposition.
A proposal has been made by M.
Gabriel Viand, a French chemist, .to obtain easily assimilable iron tonics
from vegetables by feeding the plants
judiciously with iron manures. It
would be interesting to know whether
a suitable amount of iron could be absorbed in this manner.
