Miss Moross of Dundee is here lor a
few weeks with her samples of rem-

M. A. Palmer visited Toledo, Tuesday.
Hon. J. Sprague of Ann Arbor was
the guest of his daughter Mrs. G. K.

Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Souse are entertaining Rev. Mr. Locker of Millford

The Presbyterian society held a business meeting at the church Tuesday,
to see ahout hiring a Pastor.
Mr. Hanor who was so badly hurt a
week ago is doing as well as could be
expected.
The Birthday social at the M. E.
church, Friday evening netted the
society nearly $40.
Several of the Milan Christian
Catholic people will go to Detroit,
Thursday to hear Dr. Dowey of Chicago
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Stimpson entertained guests from near Saline the last
of the week.
Mrs, C, Wilcox entertained guests
from London Sunday.
Dr. J. L. Bell of Detroit is in Milan
with the idea of opening an office.

Clarence Culver has bought a house
of J. D. Forsyth and will move it onto
his farm this week.
The Ladies Aid Society of the Baptist church will hold a Social at the
home of Dr. Geo. Sanford, Wednesday-
afternoon and evening.

. Saline April 24, 1899
Special Session of the Common Council held in theoffice of Lister & Sheeder
April 24, 1899. Notice given in due
form.
President Hauser in chair.
Trustees present Burkhart, Henne,
Gates and Schairer. Absent: Jackson
and Fish.
The following Liquor Bonds were
presented: John Fritz as principal
with Sureties, Irving Clarke & Nelson
Clough as principal with Sureties and
Mary Schaffer as principal with
Sureties.
Moved and supported that the Bonds
as presented be accepted. Carried
Druggist Bond of C. F. TJnierkircher
as principal with Sureties presented, on
motion was accepted.
On motion council adjourned.

approved.
St. Commissioners report read,
accepted anl placed on file.
Bond of Marshall Jerry with surety
presented. On motion was accepted.
Druggist Bond of Lister & Sheeder
with Sureties presented. On motion
was accepted.
On motion §60.00 was taken from
Cemetery fund and placed to the credit
of the street fund.
Ways and Means recomended that
$300.00 be raised by Tax also that $100.
be placed to the credit of the sidewalk
Fund, $100.00 to the Fire Fund and
$600 00 to the St Fund. Balance of
Taxes be placed to the credit of the
contingent Fund. On motion reco-
mendation were accepted.
The Finance Com. reported favorably
on the following Bills and Orders were

Office in the City of Ann Arbor, on Saturday,
the 29th day of April in the year one thousand
eight hundred and ninety nine.
Present, H. Wirt Newkirk, Judge of Probate.
In the Matter of the Estate of Eugene B. Ford
deceased. Elida Ford the administratrix of said
estate, comes into court and represents that she
is now prepared to render her final account as
such administratrix.
Thereupon it is ordered, that Saturday, the 27
day of May next, at ten o'clock in the forenoon,
be assigned for examining and allowing such
account, and that the heirs-at-law of said deceased, and all other persons interested in said
estate, are required to appear at a session of
said Court, then to be holden at the Probate
Office in tbe City of Ann Arbor, in said County,
and show cause, if any there be, why the said
account should not be allowed: Andit is further
ordered, that said administratrix give notice to
the persons interested in said estate, of the
pendenoy of said account, and the hearing
