those who haven't taken down their

Rev. Geo. E. Wilson of Clyde, Ohio,
seems to be in great demand here. He
has been engaged to preach the Memorial sermon for the G. A. R. at the
opera house, Sunday, and to deliver the
address Decoration Day and also to
deliver the Baccalaureate for the class
of '99 in June.
Dr. and Mrs. Mesic of Milan and Mr.

AMERICAN INDUSTRY.
The bureau of statistics has just
published these significant figures:
Our exports of agricultural products
during 1898 amounted to ?852,000,000, a"
gain of $120,000,000 over 1897. Our exports of manufactured goods during
1898 were $308,000,000, or ?2S,000,000
more than in 1897.
Thus while the American farmer
continues to feed the world, American
machinery and the American men behind the machines are pushing the
product of their industry into the very
markets from which we have in the
past drawn the better part of our own
supplies of manufactured goods.
It is no wonder that English ironmasters and machinists and manufacturers
are almost in a panic over American
encroachments upon markets which
have hitherto heen exclusively their
own.—New York World.

Did you ever try to dodge the
rain _rops ? Did not succeed
very well, did you? It's just
as useless to try to escape from
ihe germs of consumption. You
can't do it. They are about us
on every hand and we are constantly taking them into our
lungs.
Then why don't we all have
_—; disease? Simply because
tfa3S3 germs cannot gain a foothold in a strong throat and
lungs. It's when these are
weak that the germs master.
The body must be well supplied
with fat. The danger comes
when the blood is poor and the
body is thin. If your cough does
not yield, and your throat and
lungs feel raw and sore, you
should not delay another day.

inflamed membranes and greatly
strengthen them as well. The
digestion becomes stronger, the
appetite better and the weight
increases. The whole body lie-
comes well fortified and the
germs of consumption cannot
gain a foothold.
It's this nourishing, sustaining and strengthening power
of 5COTT_ EMULSION that
has made it of such value ia
