Notice is hereby given, that by an order of
the Prohate .Court for the County of Washtenaw,
made on the _h day of August A. D. IS99, sis
months from that date were allowed for creditors to present their claims against the estate of
Lemuel Clark, late of said County, deceased
and that all creditors of said deceased are required to present their claims to said Probate
Court, at the Probate Office in the city of Ami
Arbor, for examination aud allowance, on or
before the 1st day of March 1900 next, and
that such claims will be heard before said Court,
on the 29th day of Nov. 1899, and on the 1st day
of Mar. 1900 next, at ten o'clock in the forenoon
of each of said days.

at tlie residence of Ashley B. VanDuzer in the
village of Saline in said County, on Saturday
the 14 day of Oct. and on Monday the 15 day of

Weather fine. Vegetation is looking
refreshed after a fine rain Saturday.
The fourth quarterly meeting will be
held at the M. B. Church, Sept. 2 and
3. Rev. Dr. Ryan will be in attendance
and give Milan people a treat.
A. E. Putman is on an eastern business trip to New York, Boston and
Philadelphia and will be gone several
weeks.
Prof, and Mrs. C. M. Puller and
little Hazel have returned to their
home in Salem after a three months
sojourn in Milan.
Mr. Maston who was so badly hurt
in a threshing machine week before
last is able to walk out and is improving.
Miss Florence has received her Third
Grade certificate from Ann Arbor.
Miss Thomas Wilson is quite ill.
W. A. Eastlick returned Monday to
his home in Carlton.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown and family have
moved into the Dexter cottage.
Mr. and Mrs. Ered Gauntlett are
moving this week into Amos Taylors
residence.
M. Bell who hurt his hand so badly
last week is able to be about again.
Miss Lelia Kelly is visiting friends
at Muskegon.
Milton Clark left Wednesday for
Traverse City where he vvill engage in
business.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Sill left Thursday for a visit with frieuds in Dexter.
Mrs. Homer Sill and children are
the guests of Mrs. Sills parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Wm. Hoyt at Saline this
week.
It is with great pleasure that our
people learn of the return in the
spring of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Smith "of
California.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sweet are moving
from the Marble house to Mrs. Van-
Warners place.
Mrs. W. Butler and children of Detroit are the guest of Mrs. Butler's
parents Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wilson for
a few weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gay and family
are yisiting in Detroit this week.
Mrs. C. Kelsey and son of Detroit are
the guests of Mrs. Alex Smith.

Arbor _ R. and arrive in Frankfort at
S:30 a. m.?

company's car ferry from Kewaunee
and Manitowoc, Wis. This train

Durand, Owosso, Mt. Pleasant, Cadillac
and Frankfort. Chair and sleeping
cars on through trains. Three car
ferries with good passenger accommodations .daily between Frankfort and.
Menominee, Gladstone, Escanaba. Manitowoc and Kewaunee. Connections
made at these points for St. Paul and

County of Washtenaw, holden at the Probate
Office in the City of Ann Arbor, on Saturday,
the 29th day of July in the year one thousand
eight hundred and ninety nine.
Present, H. Wirt Newkirk, JuJge of Probate.
In the Matter of the Estate of Lemuel Clark
deceased. On reading and filing the petition,
duly verified, of Clinton Clark praying that the
administration of said estate may be granted to
himself or some other suitable person.
Thereupon itis ordered, that Friday, the 25
day of Aug. next, at ten o'clock in the forenoon,
be assigned for the hearing of said petition, and
that the devisees, legatees andheirs-at-lawof said
deceased, and all other persons interested in said
estate, are required to appear at a session of
said Court, then to be holden at the Prohate
Office in the City of Ann Arbor, and show cause,
if any there be, why the prayer of the petitioner
should not be granted: Andit is further ordered,
that said petitioner*give notice to the persons
interested in said estate, of the pendency of
said petition and the hearing thereof, by
causing a copy of this order to be published
in the Sa'.ine Observer, a newspaper printed
and circulating in said county three successive
weeks previous to said day of hearing.
