The supreme court Tuesday affirmed
the decision of the circuit court in the
case of Lellis vs. the Michigan Central. This was the case where Mr.
Lellis was killed in the Detroit yards
by a timber falling from a car. The
widow, by Lehman & Navin, sued the
company for negligence in having a
defective stake on the loaded car. It
was tried in this circuit. Judge Kin ne
took it away from the jury on motion
of Lawrence & Butterfield, who held
that the stake was not a part of the car
and was the fault of the loader and not
the company. Tbe plaintiff appealed
and the supreme court affirmed the decision of the lower court. The attorneys of the Washtenaw bar who
heard the case state that if tbe case
had ever gone to the jury Mrs. Lellis
would bave secured at least a §15,000
judgement.—Argus. That is a good
crack at the jury whoever they were.

What It Cost Him.
"George, dear—" "Don't bother me,
Laura, I am .reading, and I'd rather
read than talk just now." An hour
dragged its way into the dim, misty
past, and the voice of Mr. Ferguson
was heard calling loudly: "Laura,
how much longer have I got to wait'
for dinner? It ought to have been
ready an hour ago!" "It was, George,"
responded Mrs. Ferguson, from the
dining room. "That was what I went
in to tell you, but you don't want to
hear me talk. We have all finished,
and everything is cold, but you needn't
wait another minute if you want your
dinner."—Chicago Tribune.

Biliousness is a condition characterized by a disturbance of the digestive
organs. The stomach is debilitated,
the liver torpid, the bowels constipated. There is a loathing of food, pains
in the bowels, dizziness, coated tongue
and vomiting, first of the. undigested
or partly digested food and then of
bile. Chamberlain's Stomach and
Liver Tablets allay the disturbances of
the stomach and creates a healthy appetite. They also tone up the liver to

bowels. Try them and you are certain
to be much pleased with the result.

Plymouth Binding Twine
A Comparative Statement showing the Cost and Value of Binding
Twine, based on the supposition that a farmer needs, to bind his grain,
300 pounds of Plymouth Sisal, or Standard Twine, which runs 505 feet
to the pound.
Three hundred pounds of Plymouth Standard or Sisal will give him
151,500 feet. ,
151,500 ft. of 505 ft. to the lb., weighs 300 lbs. @ 14c will cost $42.00_
151,500 ft..of 480 ft. to the lb,, weighs 315*. lbs. @ 14c will cost $44.19
151,500 ft. of 470 ft. to the lb., weighs 322J- lbs. @14e will cost S45.13
151,500 ft. of 450 ft. to the lb., weighs 336= lbs. @ 14c will costf 47.13
151,500 ft. of 430 ft. to the lb., weighs 352J lbs. @ 14c will cost S49.33
We have recently tested twine sent us for examination, that averaged
a little less than 430 feet to the pound.
The PLYMOUTH Twines are the only ones of these grades that run
505 feet to the pou ad. You save by buying them, over the lowest
grade, S7.33 on 300 pounds, or §2.44 per 100: or 2 44-100-cents per
pound. Therefore, if Plymouth sells for 14 cents per pound, the other
should sell for 11 66-100 cents, to be as cheap,- and others m proportion
The Moral is. buy PLYMOUTH Twine, and save money, and the
annoyance of loose bundles, caused by poor twine.
