A Minister's Good Work.
"1 had a severe attack of bilious
colic, got a bottle of Chamberlain's
Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy,
took two doses and was entirely cured,"
says Rev. A. A. Power, of Emporia,
Kau. "My neighbor across the street
was sick for over a week, had two or
three bottles of medicine from the doe-
tor. He used them for three or four
days without relief, then called io another doctor who created him for some
days and gave him no relief, so discharged him. I went over to see him
• the next moruing. He said his bowels
were in a terrible fix, that they had
been running off so long that it was almost bloody flux. I asked him if he
had tried Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera
and Diarrhcea Remedy and he. said,
'No'. I went home and brought him
my bottle aud bottle and gave him one
dose; told him to take another dose in
fifteen and twenty minutefc. if he did
not find relief, but he took no more and
was entirety cured." For sale by
Lister & Sheeder.
Queen Objects to Smoking.
Queen Victoria of England has the
greatest objection to smoking. In none
of the palaces does a smoking-room exist—indeed, it is'doubtful -whether her
majesty is even aware of the need of
this accommodation. Guests of the
queen who are addicted to the soothing practice manage as best they can
by smoking out of doors when the
weather permits.
The laws of health require-that the
bowels move onoe each day and one of
the penalties for violating this law is
piles. Keep your bowels regular hy
taking a dose of Chamberlain's Stomach and Liver Tablets when necessary
and you will never have that severe
putrishment inflicted upon you. Price,
2-5 cents. For sale by Lister & Sheeder.

A FAMILY ON WHEELS.
The Iiasleys Roach. East St. Louis on
Their Wandering; Tour.
M. E. Lasley and family, who are
natives of Ohio, but for the past few
years have traveled extensively in
what they term their house-on-wheels,
arrived in East St. Louis yesterday,
says the St. Louis Globe-Democrat,
and were the center of a curious
crowd. Lasley, it seems, in 1893, lost
his position as a carpenter in the little town in Ohio in which he was
reared, and where he married some
time before. His w>ife conceived the
idea that a trip across the country
in a wagon would he a novel affair,
and from the adventures she would be
able to write a story and make some
money. The scheme was adopted, and
since that date the family has lived in
its wagon home, spending no more
than a week in any one place* The
wagon is a peculiar arrangement. It
is built entirely of planks, and has
neither springs nor coupling poles. All
the necessary kitchen and sleeping
articles of furniture are provided, and
the inside of the caravan has the appearance of neatness. Mrs. Lasley
wrote the story of their first year's
adventures, and they haye lived ever,
since on the sale of the book. She
gave a free lecture last night on religious topics. The children are all rosy-
cheeked and happy, and each has a
good education,
Story ef a Slave.
To be bound hand and foot for years
by the chains of disease is the worst
form of slavery. George D. Williams,
of Manchester, Mich., says: "My wife
has been so helpless for five years that
she could not turn over in bed alone.
A.fter using two bottles of Electric
Bitters she is wonderfully improved
and able to do hei* own work." This
supreme remedy for female diseases
quickly cures nervousness, sleeplessness, melancholy, headache, backache,
fainting and dizzy spells. It is a godsend to weak, sickly, run-down peopl

Plymouth Binding Twine
A Comparative Statement showing the Cost and Value of Binding:
Twine, based on the supposition that a farmer needs, to bind his grain,.
SCO-pounds of Plymouth. Sisal, or Standard Twine, whieh runs 505 feet
to the pound.
Three hundred pounds of Plymouth Standard or Sisal will give- biro
151,500 feet.
151,500 ft. of,505 ft. to the lb., weighs §00 lbs_ @ 14c will cost S42VO0
,151,500 ft. of 480 ft. to the lb., weighs 315f lbs. @ 14c will cost S44.19
151,500 ft. of 470 ft. to the lb., weighs 322J lbs. @ 14c willcost S$5.13
151,500 ft. of 450 ft. to the lb., weighs 336f lbs. @ 14c will cost $47.13
151,500 ft. of 430 ft. to the lb., weighs 352J lbs. @ 14c will cost §49.33
We have recently tested twine sent us for examination, that averaged
a little less than 430 feet to the pound.
The PLYMOUTH Twines are the only ones of these grades that mis
505 feet to the pound. You save by. buying them, over the lowest
grade,'S7.33on 300 pounds, or S2.44 per 100; or 2 44-100 cents per
pound. Therefore, if Plymouth sells for 14 cents per pound, the other
■should sollfor 11 66-100 cents, to be as cheap, and others in proportion"
The Moral is. buy PLYMOUTH Twine, and save money, and the
annoyance of loose bundles, caused by poor twine.
