Are Your Eyes Bad?
*
&
&
Dr. I. F. Stein the famous Eye Specialist
Will cure you. Many people become all but totally blind and at
an early age, simply because they pay no attention to their eyes. They notice
a dimness and soreness after reading a while and when a miserable headache
comes to them they ascribe it to any cause but the vright one and take a pill.
The mil cause of their misery is thai their eyes are weak and every time they
read or write means and added strain, and their eyes made weaker. Consultation with a specialist means the ending of all misery, and the saving-of your
eyesight Dr. Stein is reliable, you do not see him once and then look for him
again in vain. He is going to make special visits to your town Come anil see
him and have yonr eyes scientifically tested free of charge, that you may have
comfort wheti you read and write. He will be at the
Harmon House; Monday and
Tuesday, Apr. 22 and 23.

A Card to the Public ■
For a great many years the people of
this village have had a desire to have
lighting facilities of larger towns but
owing to the great expense and lack of
means it has been impossible up to the
present time to secure them. We now
have au opportunity to light streets,
stores aud bouses with a modern light
that is way ahead of any other light in
the market for a great deal less money
tban other towns and cities are paying
for an inferior light. After an investigation of 6 months I feel confident that
the acetylene gas system of Mr. Shute?s
is the only practical method of lighting
our town with the least expense. It
has withstood the severest test it can
be put to, that of conducting the gas
along the streets with the pipe only 10
inches under ground and part of them
entirely exposed, successfully lighting
our stores, thereby demonstrating that
there is. no condensation and \von:l
freeze in zero weather. Knowing this
to be true and that eyery citizen is interested and that they honestly desire
to have the streets lighted under the
favorable contract made by the Council
with Mr. Shute and the satisfaction
manifested by those that have heen using the gas for some time, I have reluctantly consented to assist Mr. Shute
in forming a Stock Company to carry
on the lighting plant with the expectation that public sentiment and the self
interest of each individual will, assist
and support to carry on this'enterprise
to a speedy aud s-uccessful conclusion.
Hoping and trusting to have your
hearty co-operation in this matter, I
shall at all times be ready to give any.
information to those who desire to"
make a good investment..
Yours'Truly
Geo. E. Schairer

share. 500 shares at $7"makes $3,500.
The plant will cost complete $3,000
leaving §500 cash in the Treasury. It
can be shown at the minimum, 20 per
cent can be paid to subscribers from
tbe first year's business. The assetts
of the company include a ten year franchise with a 5-year corporation contract for street lighting, the plant, all
.pipes iu streets, lamps,' poles and all
^connections. A. price?1,000 below the

No better legitimate bona fjjde business for investments of small capital
