Nerves Neecf Ftiel
Tor feed-the vital fires or they lose the power to regulate and
control the body. Unnatural stimulants won't do. Like an air
blast on dying embers they cause a sudden flash of heat~then
all is dead. Give* the nerves plenty of fuel, and the worry and
fretting, the headaches, the nervousness, loss of sleep, deranged
digestion, neuralgia, rheumatism and heart troubles, that burn up
the brain substance and destroy the nerve-force, will disappear
forever. Don't wait till the fires are burned out. Qegin now.

If people only knew what we know
about Kodol Dyspepsia Cure, it would
be used in nearly every household, as
there are few people who do not suffer
from a feeling of fullness after eating*,
belching, flatulence, sour stomach or
waterbrash, caused by indigestion or
dyspepsia. A preparation such as
Kodol Dyspepsia Cure, which with no
aid from the stomach, will digest your
food, certainly can't help but do you.

■- Open Letter.
Mrs, Nina Hill, Pres. of the
W. C. T. IL of Saline.
My Dear Madam:
This is to thank you and the other
ladies of your society for the hours
enjoyment while attending your meeting last Thursday.
Punctuality and promptness were
plainly noticeable. The opening "exercises, singing, reading the scripture
and prayer was interesting and quite
affecting. The reading of the last annual report by Mrs. Kilby, the secretary was audible, distinct in utterance
and so perfect in every way it might
be called a model*' Teport. While the
President of a deliberation body may
be the head, yet ho is often a "figure
head", while the secretary is at all
times an invaluable officer.. I was very
much pleased in listening to the reading of the reports on various subjects,
principally on Religion, Morals and
Temperance, by Mrs. Moore, Mrs. De-
Puy, Mrs. Wheeler, Mrs. Robinson,
Mrs. Schaffer and Miss Minnie Warner.
But the very prompt and independent manner of disposing of the question of the "Right and Wrong," of the
acts of Mrs. Carrie Nation by an unanimous negative vote was truly inspiring
and hopeful; there being at the same
time a convention of forty two societies
of the W. C. T. U. at Oxford where a
Carrie Nation hatchet was almost
idolized by being placed in a prominent
position among the beautiful decorations in their public hall. Such foolish
and fanatical actions always tend to
injure, If not actually kill a good cause.
Now! While I so much enjoyed your
proceedings and as a temperance man
during nearly three quarters of the
last century, I highly approve of the
great object to he accomplished by the
society of tlio W. C, T. U. I must confess my disappointment in not obtaining more evidence of work being done
(or the prevention of intemperance
and the reformation of tbe inebriate.
May I not, ask in all sincerity; Is
there anything being done, or has
there anything been done during the
past few years by the W. C. T. D. that
has at all pushed back the great tidal
wave of intemperance which has been
rushing over our fair land with all its
evils'' Is.it not true that the W. C. T.
TJ. is engaged at this very time in
raising by donation a large fund to be
used for tiui bene^t'Siof an army of so
called'^'liSngers on", political aspirants*, rtlritious fanatics aud by many
for their own personal gains and for
worldly honors, almost entirely overlooking the great curse of intemperance, the professed object of the organization'' Is not the W. C. T. TJ. being
"nrawn into the gr<3i»!/ vortex, the whirlpool cf polities'" This is the cause of
'more drunkenness at the present time
than any other cause.
I am compelled to think tbat the
many-foolish acts of this organization
which I would like to mention were i\.
proper in this Open Letter, have been,
the cause of tivv great amoupt of
drunkenness that we all see at the
present time.. S.

tired, worn out, about ready to give
up, when I began to use Electric Bitters, but six bottles completely cured
me and made me feel like a new man."
