Next summer the Baptist society
will build a commodious' and modern
parsonage on the lot opposite the
church. ■ This valuable piece of
ground has been given to the church
with the understanding that, a home
for the minister, shall be built there.
The transfer will be made in a few
days, and it is expected that in about
four months ground will be broke and
the building commenced. It will probably be completed before winter.—

■with a fresh cloth.*
A few drops of alcohol rubbed on
the inside of lamp chimneys -will remove all trace of greasy smoke.
In cleaning papier mache articles,
use a sponge moistened with .cold
water. They may be polished with
flour and a flannel cloth.
Lime-water will sweeten jars and
jugs which, soap and water fail to
cleanse. It is admirable for cleansing
milk vessels and nursing hottles.
Half a lemon dipped in salt and
rubbed on discolored 'ivory knife
handles will restore them to their original whiteness. After doing this
wash the knives once in hot water.
The fishy taste in wild game, if
ohjected to, can be removed by putting
a small onion, cut finely, into the carcass directly it is cleaned. Remove
this before cooking and hum it at
once, for it will smell very offensively.

O YOU know why we make a.
special point of talking about Selz
shoes? We want you to know..
There's a lot of fraud in"shoe-making
just now; leather is very costly and some
dishonest makers are putting shoddy stuff
into their shoes, in order to sell them
cheap; they're doing it at !the wearer's
expense.

- We know Selz shoes are honest shoes;
all leather, carefully made. Every pair is
given a printed guaranty,-which says'you
shall be satisfied with them.
That's the kind of shoes we want to sell
to you; the kind you want'; the kind it's
safe to guarantee.
Call here any time you need shoeing; see- -_,-' .
