Machine Counts Money.
A inachine that -will count money
has been produced by an Austrian inventor. The coins are thrown into a
funnel at the top of the machine and
slide downward, alighting on a spiral
track. This track has a raised border
containing slits corresponding to the
size of the -various coins. As each coin
slides on the track it passes througb
the slit corresponding to its denomination and dress into a basket.
Blind Girl ih College.
There is a blind girl in Barnard college who has a reader who takes the
notes « lectures, reads them to the
blind girl and she transcribes them
on her typewriter in the raised type,
and studies them at her leisure. The
state pays the reader $300 a year, this
being the law that every blind student
in academical studies has the right to
?300 to be paid to a reader.

See Changes on Moon's Surface.
Changes on the moon's surface, especially near the crater Linnaeus, are
now recognized by Pickering, Barnard
and others. It is concluded that tbe
diminution of a -white patch must be a
melting of hoar frost at sunrise and
that the deposition and melting Of
frost must be taking place in other
parts of the moon.

To make bubbles that can be blown
"big and will last take a piece of pure
white soap about the size of a walnut

water. Then add a teaspoonful of
glycerine. Stir well and blow from
a small pipe. Strawberry juice will
