SCHOQL NOTES.
Ralph Mead visited th'e high school
room Monday afternoon.
Ypu haven't forgotten "the '"Toe"
social for the Seniors at Miss -Vera
Reeves', have you? You had better
come if you enjoyhaving "a goo'd time'.
The Angient History cUss is, studying the Punic Wars and is much interested in the ancient methods" of
warfare as well as in noting the results for Roman civilization.
Friday our school celebrated the
one-hundredth anniversary of the
birth of Lincoln. The exercises which
were very pretty in every way, were
a decided success. We were glad to
see so many visitors out to these exercises' for it shows an interest, in and
good will toward our school.
Rev. J. F. Tree gave a very interesting talk to the entire school Thursday
morning" in chapel exercises. ' He
spoke of the advantages that each one
of us have if we, would only take advantage of them all and during his
discourse he compared us to the parable taken from Lhe Rible about the
one, two and live talents.
The basket ball game Saturday was
played against the Detroit Covenants.
During the first half of the- game, the
yictory seemed almost certain for our
team for the score stood 26 to 16.
However,''by the frequent changes on
the part of the visitors, our boys bS-
carae so confused in the last half, that
the game was won 'by the Covenants,
the score heing 45 to 38.
Our school but especially the Second
Grammar and the High School room*,
are showing "a royal spirit of loyalty
toward our athletic team. Several
very good songs have been written by
various memhers of the high scbool
and set io gome familiar tunes. . Three
mass meetings wece Tield during the
week, giving each a chance to learn
the songs and tfee various yells. The
room unanimQyisiy chose Jay O'Hara
for its ''yell-mastep'' and he certainly
makes a very enthusiastic one.
Prof. Walling, gave a talk to the
high school room last week on ^cbool
enthusiasm in athletic-*. He proposed
that school and basket ball songs be
written and learned during that week
wh'chplan was carried out. He showed plainly how a good crowd of rooters
iielp and encourage the boys to do
iheir best, whereas if a few of the
audience murmurs now ancj then^ the
players grow vargleas s^nd eY.efltually
Jose tfoe game, ^b'is plan was. set in,tp,
practice jind SajurrViy night we all
saw the result. Allho it. did not result io a victory f.-r oui' team^ yet they,
played with 'much, m re enthusiasm
notwithstanding the large players
whom they were piayii-g against..

Pain in the head—pain anywhere, has its causa.
Pain is congestion, pain is blood pressure—nothing

If you can help it, Koolol prevents
effectually helping Nature to Relieve
But don't trifle with Indigestion.
ia, by
Indigestion,
A great many people "wlio have
trifled -with indigestion, have been-
sorry for *lt—when nervous or
chronic dyspepsia resulted, and
' they have not been able to cure it.
Use Kodol and prevent having
Dyspepsia.
• Everyone is subject to indigestion. Stomach derangement follows
stomach abuse, just as naturally
and just as surely as a, sound and
healthy stomach results upon the
taking of Kodol,
When you experience sourness
of stomach, belching of gas and
nauseating fluid, bloated sensation,
gnawing pain in the pit of the
stomach, heart burn (so-called),
; diarrhoea, headaches, dullness or
- chronic tirerl^ feeling—you need Kodol. And then the quicker you.' take
Kodol—the better. Eat what you
want, let Kodol digest it.
Ordinary pepsin "dyspepsia" tahlets," pbysics, etc.', are not likely,
to be of much benefit to you, in
'digestive ailments. , Pepsin is. only
a partial digester—andv physics are
not digesters at all.
Kodol is a perfect digester. H
you could see Kodol digesting every
particle of food, of all kinds, in the
glass test-tubes in our laboratories,
you would know this just as well
as we do. , . "
Nature and "Kodol will always
cure a sick stomach—but in,order
to be cured, the stomach must rest.
That is what Kodol does—rests the
stomach, while' the stomach gets
well. Just as simple as A, B, C.
