Women Suffer Agonies
from Diseased Kidneys
^And Most Women Do This Not Knowing the
Real Cause of their Condition
These poor, suffering women
have been led to. believe that their
misery of mind and body is entirely due to "ills of their sex." "Usually
tie kidneys and bladder are responsible—or largely so. And in
such cases,, the kidneys and bladder are the organs, that need and
must have attention.
Those torturing, enervating sick:
headaches, dragging pains in baclc,
groin and limbs, bloating and swell-

nervousness or hysteria, listless-
ness and constant tired, worn-out
feeling—are almost certain sj*__p.
tsms of disordered and diseased
kidneys, bladder and liver.
DeWitt's Kidney and Bladder
Pills have, in thousands of cases,
been demonstrated as remarkably
beneficial in all such conditions of
female organism—affording the
most prompt relief and permanent
bsnefit.
As an illustration of what these
Pills will do, Mrs. P. M. Bray of
Columbus, Ga., writes that she was
S-ry ill with kidney trouble, and
.hat she. is now well—and that
these Pills are wHat cured her.

BOLD BY ALL DRUGGISTS
BEES ARE MOST INTERESTING.
"Their Product and Assistance They
Render to Apple Tree, Clover
and Other Plants.
The most important product ob-
:ained from bees is the honey. This
.s scarcely different from the nectar
is secreted by flowers, the honey from
lifferent plants being so little changed
Dy the process of storage and curing
in the hive that the honey from each
sind of plant retains its particular
;oldr' and flavor. In collecting and
storing it the bees simply pump it into
■:he honey sack and from this it is
forced back through the probosis and
deposited in the cells of comh in the
aive.
. Wax is a product of the hees, and
is produced from glands and is used
in the formation of comb. The architecture of the beeis therefore dependant upon a particular kind of material
produced hy the bee itself, and is dis-

iinctly different from the structures
built by ants or wasps, which use
sarth or wood or some material ready
it hand for their processes of building. In another way bees are very
important to the human species, be-
3ause many plants—such as the apple*
tree, clover, etc.—are- dependent upon

IMPROVED BREED OF GEESE.
Crossing of Embden Gander with African Goose for Developing
Market Flesh."
Below is given a cut illustrating the
results of crossing an "Embden gander
on an African goose. Such experiments are made for the purpose of de-
Embden-African Geese.
peldping market flesh, and not for the
purpose of increasing the number of
breeds. * The ahove cross is a fairly
good one, but we do not know that
it gives any better results titan the
crossing of the other breeds. Much
depends on the peculiarities of any
market in which such birds may be
sold.

WATER FOR THE BEES.
Give the bees plenty of water. They
need a great deal, and will fly a'long
distance to get it.
If there is no running stream qc
lake of pure water near i£ is well to
place a pail of- fresh water near the
apiary every day.
Bees use water to dilute the heavy,
thick honey left over from winter to
make it suitable for the young larvae,
and also to make the cell wax pliable.
Bees should be protected from the
wind on the north and west by a
close-set hedge or high fence.
All weeds should be kept down in
front of the hives. Mow a plot six
feet wide and then cut the weeds and
grass close to the ground with a hoe.
An hour once a week spent on the
care of the hees will bring larger returns for the effort than any other,
lahor on the farm.
A newspaper man of 'Chicago, w-hej
lives a few miles out in the country
last year sold ?225 worth of honey to
three big hotels. He says he did not
spend more than an hour a week looking after his bees during the, season.
Turkey Ready for Awakening.
The Turkish empire *has a population of 6,130,000 in Europe and 17,680,-
000 in.Asia Minor. Constantinople
has at least 1,200,000 people, including
200,000 Greeks, 10,000 Germans, 7,500
Austrians and French, 5,000 Italians,
2,000 English, and possibly 300 Americans. The natives are of all degrees
of Turkish- and Arah origin. Thousands of them are well-to-do or wealthy, broad-minded, and ready for the
awakening tp which the nation and
Constantinople in particular are rapidly advancing. There is now a great
future for trade in Turkey, Oflicial
notices already issued cover a number
of large and important public works.
