Miss Nellie Harbison, who has been
in the hospital at Ann Arbor, returned
home last Wednesday not very much
improved.
The Sunday School is preparing for
Xmas exercises and a tree at the
church Friday evening, December 23.
$8.00 was cleared at their social last
Friday evening.
Area of Alaska.
It 1s estimated that the total forest
and woodland area of Alaska is approximately, 100,000,000 acres, or
about 27 per cent, of the land area
of the territory. Of these about 20-,-
000.000' acres may possibly bear timber of sufficient size and density to
be used as saw timber, while th© other 80,000,000 acres is woodland which
bears some saw timber, but mostly
only firewood.

Saturday with his parents at Temperance. _ -
Reuben Westfall and wife visited
Thursday at Will Phillip's little Lu-
cile accompanied them home to remain a week.
Theodore Josenhans and wife attended the Farmers Club at S. H.
Wheelock's near Saling Saturday.
Geo. Reese bought of Fred Haystead
of Dundee, last week the farm recently
owned by Mrs. F. Reberg.
Theodore Josenhans and wife entertained Tuesday, Albert Warner anty
wife and son Ernest, it being Mr,
Warner's birthday.
