[ODERN invention has done away
with much of the hard work..
For. instance, the cleaning- and

With-it you can dust, clean and polish a hardwood floor in
the time.it formerly took you to get "ready to do it.
Besides, you do not have to get down on your hands and knees to dust'

to stand on a chair to dust tlie top of the high
furniture". All df tlie hard work is now made
easy with the O-Cedar Polish Mop. It gathers

Special Secretary in Charge, Assisted
By 77 Other Men Known As
"Key Men.".
Parents pf ypung men whp are leaving home to go to Detroit will be interested to knpw pf a hew department
that has recently been installed by the
Detroit Ypung Men's Christian Assp-
ciatipn. " ', -
".It is called the. Inter-City Werk Department and its purpese is tp get in
touch with ypung men immediately
uppn their arrival in Detrpit and see
that they are comfprtably.. located in
proper boarding houses—that they receive all the assistance possible in obtaining positions and that they get in
touch with the right kind of Iriends
and companions. .
It is a recognized fact that many
yoUng men are led astray on their arrival in the city, due to their not
knowing where tp lpcate and with
whom to associate. .
It is the desire of the Detroit Ypung
Men's Christian Association .to see
that these young* men secure boarding,
and rooming places of the proper
character and that they are lined up
with fellows who will be a benefit rather than a menace; fellpws whp will
take a friendly interest in seeing that
these strangers < are ' made to feel at
home in this city. Also that invita"-
tions ar,e given and accepted tp attend
church and sessions of the Sunday,
school of their religious belief. _
An organized ferce ef seventy-seven
fine yeung men in Detreit are ready
and -willing tp call uppn the* strangers
and render the service needed. It is
desired that it be thprpughly understood that this is purely a plan of
helpfulness and "friendliness, with not
the slightest obligation placed upon
the recipient, either as to fee pr membership. '
Quisk actipn is impressed uppn the
"Key Men" whp dp the visiting in
Detrpit, fpr it is reepgnized that far
mpre lasting benefit can accrue to tne
party called upon within forty-eight
hours after he reaches the city.
All young men are made most welcome and they will find those whose
pleasure it -will be to serve. Parents
and friends are invited to send notice
pf the cpming pf their sons, giving
Detroit address, and they may be assured that prompt attentipn will be
given tp all requests.
It is the desire pf this department tp
establish "Key Men" in every town
pr hamlet within at least a hundred
miles ei Detroit, pr in thpse places
where the trend pf travel is toward that
city. Twp hundred such "Key Men"
are now appointed and the names of
seven hundred young men leaving for
Detroit have been sent in.
The Detroit Ypung Men's Christian
Asspciatipn is never too busy to en-
deaver tp lpcate your spn and render
every pessiole service within its
ppwer.
