be the annual meeting of the Presbyterian church and society. Much has
been done this past year, a new furnace in the church, water installed in
church and man&e. What a happy
surprise it would be to have the treasurer report that all these extra expenses had been fully paid and the
obligations of the current year fully
met.

service because they underestimate the

Sunday morning, February 7, the
Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will
be administered. The pastor will deliver a brief sermon on "The Sacrament." Even- member is urged to
make a special effort to be present at
this Communion service. Sabbath
school immediately following. Remember we use the "combination service," so both the Sabbath school ind
the preaching service occupy little
more time than is taken for the average morning service". You will be
welcome in one of the classes we have
for all ages. *
In the evening at 7, the service will
open with a song'service led by the
orchestra and chorus choir. C,ome,
catch the inspiration to be derived
from a good sing.
The Epworth League will meet at 6

them as long as I live, and shall hope
some time to take your hands before
the parting time shall come. We have
made some very warm friends here
but they are not like the old and tried
ones "back home." I spent 75 years,
the best part of my life, in Washtenaw
county, more than 30 of these were in
Sunday school and temperance work.
I can hardly realize that I am 80. I
enjoy good health, as does my wife.
We have passed our lifty-first wedding
day, and are now spending our "honeymoon" iu California amidst sunshine and flowers and expect many
more years. Again let me thank you
all for your kind remembrance. The

of Saline, Michigan, to Harry Emmons
Parsons of Pittsburgh; Pa., was solemnized at the home of the bride's
mother, Mrs. G. J. Nissly, on Wednesday evening, January 27, in Saline.
Mr. and Mrs. Parsons are making a
short visit in this city at the home of
the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Parsons. Last evening a number of relatives and friends surprised
them with a miscellaneous shower.
This marriage is the culmination of
friendship formed while Miss Nissly
and Mr. Parsons were attending the
University of Michigan, of which institution both are graduates.
Mr. and Mrs. Parsons leave this
evening for Pittsburgh, Pa., where Mr.
Parsons is in the employ of the West-
