I take great pleasure in informing
you that upon the recommendation of
committee on diploma schools the diploma .relation between your school
and the university is continued for the
years 1915 and 1916. j
The committee is of the opinion that i
the decoration of several of the rooms
would ver}' materially improve the attractiveness of the school.
Owing to the crowded condition of
the nigh school and the small number
of the seventh and eighth grades the
committee is of the opinion that the
adoption of the six and six plan would
very materially aid the school.

Will   be   Held   on   Friday   Evening,
March 26.
There will be something doing every
minute at the school house on Friday
evening, March 26, where the pupil3
have arranged to give their first school
carnival.
Every assembly room in the building will have something. There will
be a show in the first primary, a picture show in the second primary, the
fifth and sixth grades will put on Rip
Van Winkle, the seventh and eighth
grades will furnish all the eatables—
anything you want (almost). The
high school will put on a musical program in the school hall and a side
show in the high school room.
An admission price of 5 cents will
be charged for each and every show.
Tickets can be bought for 5 cents each
or six for a quarter.
'    Woman's Club Meeting.
The Saline Woman's club met Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. Charles.
Parsons and enjoyed a very interesting
meeting. After the regular order ol
business and roll call, to which members responded by giving many useful
household hints, Mrs. Weiennett read
a very interesting paper on "Woman,
Her Daily Routine at Home and
Abroad." She said in part: "The
efficient woman is" she who can bear-
bravely the day's burdens, however
heavy, until the falling of night's
dusky curtains; who can do without
slighting the day's stint Of work and
who can be sweet, patient and tranquil
from morning until nigh,t," for "our
deeds still travel with us from afar,
and what we have been makes us what
we are,"
Mrs. Walling read another instructive paper, on "Domestic Science in
General." - In times past the home
meant merely a place of safety and
protection; later it became the place
for rearing and educating the young.
All the industries involved in the
preparation of food and clothing were
carried on under the home roof and
the home became the center of a busy
industrial life, but during the past
century thes^- have been removed one
by one from the hands of women until
little remains to be done in the home
save cooking and cleaning^nd the
care of children. Surely these tasks
ought to be done according to the best
modern methods obtainable.
Miss Winifred Woelper then favored
the ladies with two pretty piano selections, after which the meeting was
adjourned.
All members are urged to be at the
next regular meeting, when election of
officers will take place—the annual
meeting,. March 30—with Miss Jewett
as hostess.
