OBITUARY
James Toliver was born in Covington, Ky., March 4, 182S. At-theage
of three years he moved" to Augusta,
Bracken county, Ky., where he lived
until the early fifties, when he went to
Amherstburg, Ont., at which place he
was married to Miss Sarah Buetley,
Seven children, three boys and four
girls, were born to them. In the earlv
seventies they came to Saline. Ho
leaves one son, Albert Toliver, who
cared for him the past two years, ant.
, four daughters, Mrs. Mary Burns and
; Mrs. Anna Burns of Battle Creek, Mrs.
Beile Butler of Portland, Ore., ano
Mrs. T. P. Mahamutt of Om tha. Neb
Death of Tobias Sutherland.
Following a stroke of paralysis from
wiiich he had suffered for two weeks,

former citizen of Pitisfield township .
died last Thursday evening.
His death came a week after that of
his wife. He leaves two children, Mrc.
Fred Everett of .Y'psilanti, and Erues-t
Sutherland, who"" resides on his fata-

The funeral was held at his home in
^Ypsilanti Monday' morning, and tha
{remains will betaken to Forest Hill
i cemetery, Ann Arbor. The body of
Mrs. Sutherlaiid^ whicli was placed in
the vault at Ypsilainti, will be taken to
Ann Arbor.for interment at the same
