GOOD OIL ,
is not the whole story
Refining good oil is like baking a good pie. You
have got to use good materials and you have got to
know how.
We sell two of the world's ftest oils, Gargoyle
Mobiloil and Quaker State. Mobiloil and Quaker
State have been making .oil for more than forty
years. They know how.
But even good oil isn't the whole story. You
heed' the right grade recommended, for your motor.
The Dixie Service Stations see that you get it, quickly, accurately, courteously.

At last we are able to give an accurate report of Saline's population,
as revealed by the recent enumeration taken by Melvin Alber.
That part of the village located ir:
Saline township has a population of
780; 'those in Lodi township but living in Saline number 124;. Pittsfield
contains 71 and York 35; making a
grand total of 1010. The census o_
1S20 gave us 816, so we can be proud
of this increase of 194, representing
as it' does a growth almost equal to
22%.
Only one other village in the coun
ty can Jboast of as large a growth—
Milan, aiid that is located in two
counties—Washtenaw and Monroe.,
Saline Township, outside the village has 870 people of all ages.
Mystery surrounds the finding of
two skeletons on the south side of
Pleasant lake Saturday noon, one
the skeleton of a man and the other
of a child of about six or seven
years. Loui3 Vogel, of Pleasant
Lake, hauling gravel from a pit on
the farm owned by Samuel Hieber,
unearthed the skull, minus the lower
jaw-bone. A troop of Boy Scouts
from Allen Park, a suburb of Detroit,
learning«of the discovery, set to work
at the spot "unearthing- the remainder
