United at Lovely Home Wedti
The home of Mrs. Lucy "1i3. Fair-
hanks on Michigan Avenue was the
scene Saturday morning of one of
the most'hrilliant "wedding ceremonies
of the season when. Miss Dorothy
Tower become the ibride of Mr. Lloyd
Emerson Fairbanks. Tine ceremony
was .performed at 7:30 by Rev. Dr.
George Fowler of Winthrop, Iowa,
who has toeen a life long friend of the
Fairbanks family, before the immediate familes of both the bride and
groom. Dainty bouquets of daisies
decorated the living room of the
home which carried out thie motive
for decoration throughout.
The bride who was given in marriage by ber sister, Mrs. Norman
Guenther, and,, who, was matron of
honor, made >a charming picture- in
her mother's wedding gown- which,
portrayed the fashion of years ago.
The •bodice which was fitted to the
normal waist line was of ivory silk
covered with silk'net on a deep yoke
of real lace both front and back. The
skirt of the net over the silk also, was
gored and fitted snugly around the
waist and flared in the back to a
short train. Thie crushed belt of net
was finished with a flat rosette at the
back. She wore long white kid gloves which come to the short puffed
sleeves of the waist. On her head she
wore a maline band adorned with
daises at one side which fell gracefully. For her bouquet, was an armful
of daisies tied with maline and dainty
streamers of bows with daisies tied in
knots.
Mr. Robert Lee U. Garred of
Charleston, West Virginia was best
man for his brother-in-law
Immediately after the ceremony,
a three course wedding breakfast of
attractive appointments was served:-
On the wedding cake, in the center
of ithe table, was a miniature bride
and groom and daisies held tiny ribbons which fell to each plate.
Mr. and Mrs Fairbanks left by
motor for their wedding trip on a*
tour of the Great Lakes Region.

TECUMSEH DEFEATS SALINE
Saline lost a well played game to
Teeumseh Sunday. It was a pitcher's
Ibattle with Teeumseh getting the
breaks and Saline getting the only

and a single by Beasley that nearly
tore the leg of Dickie as it went
■through the short position.
The hardest break for Saline was
on a batted ball that umpire Guy
took time to turn his back on instead
of stepping out of the way. The ball
hit Guy in the back and bounded over
tpward third base and scored a iman
and gave the batter credit for a hit
on a. ball that should have ended the
inning. The outfield took care of 6
flies in fine shape. One, a catch by
