Frederick Camburn was born in
Macon August 12, 1860, and passed
away October 19 at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. Grant Allen, in Milan. He married Miss Araminl.a
Hendershot of Macon. Four children
were born to this union. Edith, the
youngest, died in infancy. His entire life was spent in this vicinity.
The funeral service was held Wed-'
nesday at 3:30 at the Methodist j
church in Macon, Rev. Chapin of
Milan officiating. Burial was in the
Macon cemetery.
Mr. Camburn is survived by three
children, John and Frank of Saline
and Mrs. Grant Allen of Milan; a
sister, Mrs. Fred Smith of Ann Arbor; a brother, Lewis, who is spending the winter in the state of Washington; seven grandchildren, two
nieces and a nephew.
Among our letters Monday morning we found another from an old
friend that reads as follows:

Henry Mawer, a music teacher in
the Dundee schools, was held up and
robbed last Thursday night while he
was returning to his home in Dundee from Milan. The holdup oecm>

mile and'a half north of Dndee. Mr.
Mawer lost about fifteen dollars.
Two armed negroes committed the
crime. One of the men grabbed
Mawer by the neck and threatened
bodily injuries, and left in an automobile after relieving him of the
