The country g3entlemen of the
Saline baseball nine are preparing themselves for an invasion
of the Allied forces of Redford,
Belleville and Linderman- who
will attack the Saline stronghold
during the next two weeks and
try to break their winning
streak and knock them out of
the top position in the tri-county
league.
Redford will be the invader on
the 4th, Belleville will wind up
Saline's home stand on the 14th.
Of these, the Belleville team
is expected to be the toughest
to overcome as they are resting
in second place and have a
chance this week of taking over
first, providing Redford and
themselves are able to take Saline into camp and break up
their winning streak which has
been stretched to seven s games:
this season. I
Belleville has won five and lost
one so far—the one going to
Saline the first part of the sea- -,
son 5 to 1. Belleville was crippled somewhat in that first
game as they were without the
services of two of their star
players.

Of these, the Belleville team is expected to be the toughest to overcome as they are resting in second place and have a chance this week of taking over first, providing Redford and themselves are able to take Saline into camp and break up their winning streak which has been stretched to seven s games: this season.
