USO DRIVE FOR
FUNDS NEXT WEEK
Next Monday a house to house
canvass will be made in Saline
for the benefit of the TJ. & O.
This is the organization which
extends a friendly hand to the
Service Man when he has leisure
hours. Every former service man
knows the value of good recreation, the homelike touch, whein
he is off duty. Fourteen million
dollars were used by the USO last
year and with a much larger
group to care for this year,
thirty-two million dollars are needed. Saline's share or quota of this
amount is ?550. Proceeds from
the ballet Saturday night will
be given to the USO. Ask amy
Service Man what the USO has
done for him. You'll get a warm
response. It is the agency. which
provides the hospitality,' reading
room and games you would gladly
offer him if you could. We all
can help through the USO. Be
prepared to say what you can
give when the volunteer worker
calls at your home Monday. There
are now four million men in the
military service of our country.
A small gif t will help them all.
