Construction is underway and walls are going up
for the Michigan Electric Power Pool Control Center on
a site at Scio Church Rd. and Wagner in Scio Township
north of Saline.
The Control Center is being established by the Detroit Edison Company and Consumers Power Company.
Charles R. Bilby, of Consumers Power Company, (at

William K. Pence, of Detroit Edison, project director in the construction of the center, said that workj is

When in service by mid-1969, the center will monitor the generation and transmission of some 10 million
kilowatts in meeting the electric energy needs of the
