A third amends Art. X, Sec. 26 relative to the number of hours men may

The fourth will amend Art. XIII

authorize municipalities to condemn

Mary E. Smiley was born in Steuben
Co. Ind., June 13th, 1846, and,died
Oct, 4th, 1920, at the age of 74 yrs., 3
months and 21 days. She was united
in marriage to William Walters April
9tb, 1.64, ^ To tbis anion were born
nine children all of whom are living.
They are Charles, Oliyer and Arlie of
Indiana, Mrs. Ora Mott of Pontiac
and George. Frank, Albert, Roy and
Robert of Olare. Besides tbe cbildreYi
sbe ieaves to mourn their loss two
brothers, W. M. Smiley of Angola,
Ind. and Gilbert Smiley of Washington, twenty two grandchildren and
six great grandchildren, besides , a
host of friends. Tbe funeral was
beld at the borne of Albert Walters
Wednesday, Oct* 8th, 1920, comforting
words being spoken by Rev. Davis,
the remains then being taken to Angola, Ind. and laid to rest beside her
husband who preceded ber nine years.

During the heavy electric storm on
Snnday night, lightning struck the
cupola of the Lutheran church, tearing off tbe sbingles on its way down
and shivering one of the sashes in the
beifry. We bave heard of no other
