It was moved , seconded and carried that the Minu tes of the Spec ial Meeting
of Nove mber 2 aOO of the Regu lar Meeting of November 16. 1966, be
approved as printed.
Dr . Lloyd M. Co fer was nomina ted as Chai rman and Mrs . J ean Backus
as Vice Chair man o f the Boa rd of T l'Ustees for the 1967 ye:u·. Il was
moved, seconded and car r ied t hat the no minations be closed and that a
unanimous vole be cast for t hese two nominee s .
The Incumbent Sec r etary , Mrs . Do ris L. Crippo, and T reasurer , Dr .
Norvall C. Bovee were nominat ed to continue for 1967. It was moved ,
seconded and cartied that the nominat ions be c losed, and that a unanimous
vote be cast for these two nominees.
The Chairman call ed for r eports from the Standing Committees:

It was moved , seconded and car ri ed that the report made in the
morning session by Mr . Mor row on the two Internal Audits - Pre-
number ed Checks and Payroll -- be approved and t hat a
letter of comme ndation be sent to Mr . F red C. Conant, the
Inter nal Auditor.
Academic Affairs Committee - - Dr. Cofer
The co nunlttee met and dis cussed c ertain changes des ir ed by the
University Senate in the Poliey on Appointment of Deans, Vice
P r esidents and President as accepted by the Boa rd on Ju ne 29,
1966.
It was moved, seconded and canied that the follOwi ng ameooments
to the P olicy on Appointment of De ans, Vice P res idents, and

President be approved:

When II new school is to be creat ed and the Dean thereof to
be namL"<i, or the incumbent Dean of an existing schoo l is
to be replaced for any r eason, the P res Ident of the University
sh al l so inform the Univer sity Senate, t he faculty, the
Vice P I'Csldent of Academic Affa irs, and, at the same ti me,
the Board of T r ustees . The follOWing procedure will then
be implemented:.

to the faculty for s el ection. The four (4) faculty members
receiving the highest rumber of votes wU\ become member s
of t he Screening Commi ttee . The Board of Trustees will
awoint four (4) more from the adminis tration r anks. The

It was recommended that ackm wledgement be made of the r eceipt of t he
Report on the Self- Liquidating Buildings by .Mr. HamUland Dr . Bovee' s

regul at ions gove rning the credit of graduate COurses taken off campus as
approved by t he Gradiate Committee on October 20, 1966, by the Univers
lty Senate on November 7, 1966, and by the Adm ini st r ation be app roved:
