The mee ti ng was called to order a t 9:10 A.M. by the Chairman. MI- . Fortiroo
announced that the public mee ting was being held in the morning because the
Board was cognizant of the /Viorotorium and the sharp division of opinion as ta
whether It should be supported by non-activity by the various segments of the
Univel'$ity, including the Boord. The comensus w<n that the business of the
Univel'$ity eannot be halted a nd 50 the Board must meet. In deference to
those who might wish to show support for the /Vioratorium, the Boa rd was meeting
early to penni! them to a ttend the various /Viorotorium funetions.
The minutes of the September 17, 1969 meeting were accepted as printed .
