that the Cheryl faye Doehring loon Fund be accepted by the Boord of

"Cheryl Faye Doehring loon Fund
The Cheryl Foye Doehring Loon Fund was established in 1970 in
memory of Cheryl Foye Doehri ng and her unselfish ottemph to
help others despite her own handicaps. The fund was mode panible
through the contri butions of Ce ntra l Michigan University Speech
Deportment, friends and family. The fund wi ll provide non-interest
beari ng loons to students needing temporary financia l assistance."

BROOMFIELD ROAD MARRIED STUDENT APARTMENT PROJECT:
Dr. Bovee discussed the Bids on the project ond expressed his hope that by
re-bidding the project with $OfH minor changes, that it could be brought
in line with the budget. fv\otion was mode, seconded and carried
that the folrowing resolution be adopted:
Resolution
WHEREAS, bids received on the Broomfield Rood Group I Married
Student Apartment complex were in excess of the budget, and
WHEREAS, it is believed that the project can be reduced in scope
to bri ng it within budget
BE IT RESOLVED, that all bids received 011 August 6, 1970, for
the Broomfield Rood Group I Morried Student Ap:utment complex
be rejected and the project re-bid .
APPOINTMENT OF ARCHITECT FOR REMODELING OF OLD LIBRARY:
Motion WO'S mode, seconded and carried approving the recommendation
that Roger Allen and Anodote! be named by Centra l Michigan Univenity
for remodeling work in the Old library.
PUBLIC SERVICES DIVISION NAME CHANGE:

TIME EXTENSION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SOUTHWEST RESIDENCE
HALL COMPLEX:
Motion was made, seconded and carried that the following resolution
be adopted:
GIFTS:
Resolution
WHEREAS, eight lobar strikes from November, 1968 to June,
1970, totalling 10 1/2 months have deloyed the completion of
the Southwest Residen<:e Hall Complex.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the completion dote of July 16, 1969,
stoted in the originol contract with the Christman Company for
the construction of the Southwest Residence Hall Complex be
changed to June 1, 1970.
IVIofion was made by James Umphrey, with on expression of thanks to the
Dow Chemical Company for its contribution to the ;.rory Jane Merrill
Agency Fund, seconded by Lloyd Cofer and carried thot the following gifts
be accepted. Charles Ping requested that special thanks be given to the
Dow Chemical Company for their various gifts and grants.
Grant of $500 to the Department of Chemistry, and $1,000 to the School
of Business Administration from the Dow Chemical Company.
Check in the omount of $1,050 for use at the discretion of the Dean of the
School of Arts and Sciences from the Economic Geology Publishing Company.
Scholarship aid grant of $400 to the Department of Music from the Presser
Foundation .
Compound materials with 0 market value of $600 to the Department of Physics
from the Dow Chemica I Compony.
