WHEREAS, Dr. Norvall C. Bovee gave 30 yeal'1 of outstanding
service ta Centro I Michigan University and to his commun ity,
BE 11 RESOLVED THAT: The Board of Trustees expresses its
oppreciatlon of his countless contributions to this Univel'1ity and
our great J.Ofrow over his untimely death . Dr. Bovee's possing
leaves a void thot connot be filled, Centro I Michigon University
shall be forever indebted to him for the Ixcellence of his stewardship.
The Board extends its deepest sympathy to Mrs. Bovee and
her chi ldren.
The Choirmen appointed a committee of three: Mr. Alfred Fortino,
President Boyd, and Dr. Roger Busfield, Jr., to meet with the four existing
faculty members of the faculty lia ison committee to review the se lection

that the Long-Ronge (F Ive -Year) Capita l Outlay Budget far 1971-72 through
1975-76 be approved.
CHANGE IN STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT:
It was moved by Wn. Katharine Hafstad, seconded by Dr. Lloyd Cofer, and
carried that the adoption of a 3-C to the Student Code of Conduct be approved,
C. Certain grove offenses require that the sanctions therefor be
stipuloted in advance and imposed automa tically. The followIng
shall be brooches of the Standard of Conduct for which the
sanction of suspension is mancbt~:
1. Will ful destruc tion of university property
2. Dhruptlon of scheduled university activities
3. 80mb threa t or knowingly false bomb warning
4.. Illegal pO$sesslon or use of hallucinogen ic or na rcotic drugs

A student who by due process is found to have committed any of these

he strongly objected to the adoption of the change in the Student Code of
Conduct.
MARRIED STUDENT APARTMENTS SERVICE CHARGE - CABLE TV:
It was moved by Miss Dee Boemno, seconded by Wn. Katharine Hofstad,
and carried, that the Woorried Student Apartments service charge for Coble TV
be increased $.25 per mon th, from SI.oo to S1.25.
McKIBBEN SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS:
It was moved by Mr . James Umphrey, seconded by Dr. Lloyd Cofer, and
carried, thot the gift of $7, 200 from the estate of O live Allen McKibben
for the estab lishment of scholarship funds be occepted under the terms outlined
and that the approved statement be printed in the University cata log.
