In 1966, two years prior to her death, Ethe l Nellie Tay lor advised the University
that she intended to leave her esta te to the Univers ity. She paned away
in f.kJy, 1968. Since thot ti me the University ond Univers ity Counse l have
been working with Carl Q. Christo l, Executor.
Miss Toylor received 0 Li fe Certificote from Central in 1910, Alone time she
taught in Colemon. In 1952 we learned that she wos employed at the Informa lional
Services of the University of Southern California.
Her Will stipulates that all of her property is to be used, Hfor scholarships ond

RESIDENCE HAll VISITATION POLICY:
A student petition signed by donnitory presidents asked to meet with the Board
for reconsidera tion of the visitotion policy. lloyd Cofer moved that the
Chairman of the Board be empowered to oppoint a committee of this Boord to
meet with the President of the University and student representotives to
consider and oct on the res idence hall vis itation pol icy of the University, The
Chairman then appointed himself, lloyd Cofer, Wolter Wightman and James
Umphrey to meet with the group following the Board meeting.

thot the Boord endorse the Jonuary, 1970 rev.is ion of the Deve lopment Fund

thot the Revised Gri evance Procedure, approved by the University Senate on

BUDGET, 1970-71:
Dr. N. C. Bovee distributed 0 report on the Compcrbon of the 1970-71 Budget
Request with Executive Budget Recommendations . The University requested
$6,040,950 in new money for next year and the Governor's Budget recommends
an increase of $3,426,638 of which S 1,929,588 is to come from the Stote
Treasury and $1,497,050 from fee Income and other University sources . (Copy
