the Boord.
It was moved by Dr. lloyd Cofer, seconded by Dr. Roger Busfield, and carried,
.nol the following omendment 10 the Resolution on Residency Status for Migrunll
be odopted. Min Boenmo voled against the amendment .
Migrant students will meet the residency requirement if they, or
their perenll, or legol gvardiol\$, were employed for ot leest two
months during each of three of ,h. preceding five years. Verifico lion
of employment as migrunt workers should be Mtcvred from the
Michigan Form Lobof- and Rurol Monpower Service! Office. Other
appropriate evidence may also be used by migl'llnl workers 10 prove
thei r residency.

In order to beller oddress the needs of Michigan migrants,
BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. Migront stat\l$ Is one foctor considered when determining
if 0 student is domiciled in Michigan for
tuition purposes. Michigon migrants are defined as
individuals who hove mode their livelihood in seosonol
work in the Stote of Mich igan and hove traveled interstate
for this purpose. Migrant students wi ll meet the
residency requirement if they, or their parents, or
legal guo rdiaos, were employed for at leost two months
during eoch of three of the preceding five years. Veri fication
of employment os migrant worken should be
secured from the Michigan Form lobor a nd Rurallv'lonpower
Services Office. Other appropriate evidence
may oliO be used by migrant workel'1 to prove thei r
residency.
2. ~ere the wotd "Registrar" oppeors in the lost porogroph
of the sec tion entitled "Mich igan Residence Defined" in
the 1971 -72 Bulletin the word "Admin istrotion" sholl be
