It was moved by Mr. Alfred Fortino, seconded by Mrs. Katharine
Hafstad, and ca rried, that the following resolution for Stanford H.
Glaze r. Professor, Counseling Center, be adopted.
WHEREAS, Stanford M. Glazer has given thirty-three years
of his I ife, including ten years at Central Michigan
University, to counseling and teaching students that they
might be better prepared in their fields of endeavor and
freer to interact positively with others; and,
WHEREAS, Through his numerous publications he has provided
guidance and information to thousands of professional
counselors and psychologists across the nation; and,
WHEREAS, His professional leadership has been demonstrated
by se rving as an officer and/or founder of the Michigan
Personnel and Guidance Association, Michigan College
Personnel Associat ion, Metropolitan Guidance Association
of Detroit, the Michigan Council of Counseling and
Guidance Organizations and the Southeastern Michigan
Guidance Association; and,
WHEREAS, Through his partic ipation in and contribution to
numerous committees in the Counseling Center he has provided
professional leadership and guidance which has served
as a positive catalyt ic agent for professional growth of
the entire staff; and,

extends its congratulations to the student athletes, the
coaches . t ra i ners, and all personnel connected with the CMU

the Chairll\an of the Board of Trustees, Is authorh:ed, at
the requeSt of the collective bargain ing agel'lts for
Haintel'lance and Food Service, Clerical, and PublIc Safety,
to open negotiations ISIder the current agreements on th.e
topics of base salary, salary supplement, contribution to
dental insurance and hospital and surgical insurance, rol1-
up on existing benefits, and duration of agreement. The
President, with the approval of the Chai rman of the Board
or Trustees, is authorized to Increase base sa lary , salary
suppl_nt, contribution to dental Il'Isural'lce and hospital
and surgical Insurance, and roll-up on existing benefits
for e~loyees at the university 1'I0t represented by collective
bargaining agents for the current fiscal year and to
eStablish, at this time, compenSation inc reases begll'lnlng
