Rahilly, and t"arried, that the following resolut ion be adopted.
Recitals:
I. A revised Sabbatical Leave Policy was developed by the Academic
Senate and submitted to the Board of Trustees at its Hay meeting
at which the matter was tabled.
2. The Board of TrlJStees is vlrtual]y in agreement with the policy.
but feels clarificatIon should be made as described In Provost
Cantelon', June 20, 1980 letter to the Chairperson of the
Academic Senate.
3· The Academic Affairs Committee of the Board of Trustees wi II
not have a" opportunity to rleet with the liaIson COIl'lulttee of
the Academic Senate to consider the Soard's concerns but the
Provost wi II do so.
~. Th~ BOdrd of Trustees wishes to provide for authority to
imp lement the Sabbatical Leave Policy following the meeting of
the Provost with the Academic Senlte Liaison Committee.
SE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, That the President of the University i s
authorized to adopt the Sabbatical Luve Policy rec.on-oended by the
Academic Senate with clarifications resulting from the meeting
between the Provost and the Academ i c Senate Liaison Committee.
