move into closed session to discuss strategy connected with the negotiation
of collective bargaining ag reements.

Services, be granted emeritus rank effective February I, 1983, and that
the fol lowing resolution be adopted.
WHEREAS, Ann H. Carey has devoted 19 years of her I ife to
Central Hichigan University and has contributed her persona l
and professional talents to the Univers i ty ' s growth and
improvement as Operations Supervisor for the South Computer
Center and Programmer/Analyst for Compu ter Services; and
WHEREAS, She has distinguished he rself with exemplary service
to faculty, students, and administrato rs by assisting them In
using computerized techniques to support research projects and
investigative reports; and
WHEREAS, Her constant dedic.:nion to her responsibilities, sometimes
at great personal sacrifice, her genuine concern to
provide the hi ghest qual ity service to the commun ity, he r
positive attitude, and balanced judgments have won the highes t
regard from the facu l ty, staff, and students of Central
Hichlgan Un i versity; and
WHEREAS, Her associates wish her continued success in a well
dese r ved retirement in which to pursue her many interests;

and carried, that the recommenda ti on to change the name of the Depar tment
of Finance, Insurance and Rea I Estate to the Department of Finance
be app roved.
It was moved by Hr. Raymond LaBoun t y, seconded by Mr s. Al ice Tomboul ian ,
and carried, [hat the recommendation to change the name of the Department
of Business Public Affairs and Legal Studies to the Department of
Business law and Regulation be approved .

and carried, that the recommendation to change the name of the Department
of BUSIness Education and Administrative Services to the Oepartment
