BE IT RESOLVED. That the Bachelor of Social Work (BS~)
Degree approved by the Board of Trustees Of>
September 1]. 197, be phased out. Students entering the
Universit y in the Fall of 1982, and ~fterward, are not eli·
gible to receive the Ocgree. The administratiOf> will
establ ish procedures for phasing out the degree conside ring
the needs of students enrol led at the University p ri o r to the
Fall Semester of 1982 who have derronstrated an academic and
course commitment to the BS~. Transfer students who entered
the University in F"II of 1982 and who prior t o enrollment
have demonstrated an academic and course comm itment to the
BSW may at the discretion of the administration be permitted
to complete the BS~ program and receive the BSW degree on a
case · by-case bas is.
In no event wi t I any BSW degree be awarded after June 1988
without further action of the Soard.
Strategy for review of Haster Plan.
At t he April meeting the administration will give a staff report on
the Haster Plan. It will then be discussed by the Boord at its l'Iay
meet ing.
